Princess Yachts strengthens its Distributors Network in China 

British boat builder, Princess Yachts International, has strengthened its distribution network in Asia with the announcement that its representative for South China and Hong Kong will now take overall responsibility for the People's Republic of China. Known as Princess Yachts Greater China Limited (PYGC), this newly formed operation amalgamates Princess' existing Distributor for Hong Kong, Macau and Southern China, a subsidiary of Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited, the flagship investment holding company controlled by Dato' Dr. Cheng Yu Tung and family (the "Cheng Family"), with a new partner, DCH Marine Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Dah Chong Hong Holdings Ltd. This newly formed joint venture will allow Princess to expand its reach across China with plans already underway to create a network of sales and service centres in key locations across mainland China.

The base of operations for PYGC will remain in place within the existing offices in Central Hong Kong. Through its previous work in the south, PYGC has already established a strong record for sales and service and this new move will further improve Princess' reach throughout the region, having already sold and delivered a number of new Princess craft up to and including the Company's 98 Motor Yacht and 105-foot 32Metre.

Dah Chong Hong Holdings Limited is a Hong Kong-based conglomerate with a diverse portfolio in automotive, food and consumer products. With huge experience in the luxury market, DCH is a prominent force in the automotive sector in Greater China, with over 50 years experience. DCH was the key player in the successful introduction of Bentley Motors to mainland China and led the market to become the second largest importer for Bentley in the world.

Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited is the controlling shareholder of New World Development Limited, a leading Hong Kong-based conglomerate with interests in property, infrastructure and service, department store and hotel businesses. The Cheng Family also controls Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited, the world's largest jewellery retailer with over 2,000 points of sales in Greater China.

Luxury Yachts on Hire Princess S72 Sports Boat

In February 2014 Princess will launch the first model from its new S CLASS range – the Princess S72.

Fitted with twin Caterpillar or MAN engines from 1622hp to 1800hp, the S72 is a Sportsbridge yacht that will handle every bit as well as she looks. A proven deep-V hull and low centre of gravity will deliver class-leading ride quality, with speeds expected to pass 37 knots, along with a highly efficient cruising range.

The Sportbridge is accessed by a contemporary stairwell, designed to allow an uninterrupted view aft from the deck saloon, and delivers a level of space and sophistication that would put many conventional flybridges to shame.   

In the cockpit, the Princess design team have created a 3.9m tender garage, able to take a jet RIB plus a whole range of toys. Above the garage lies a vast sunpad area, and there is still plenty of room for a deep and wide surround of cockpit seating and a full wet bar. For maximum on water lifestyle, the deck saloon is designed to flow into the cockpit, creating a vast one-level living area. The saloon’s triple aspect glass doors fold away to port, while a drop-down window, as seen on the V72, completely opens up the aft saloon. For even more on-water atmosphere an optional opening sunroof can be specified above the lower helm and forward seating.

Below decks, a three-cabin layout includes a full beam master stateroom enjoying those S CLASS angled hull windows and a new take on interior design and finish. Princess’s Director of Creative Design, Sarah Verey, has put together an exclusive range of materials, furniture and detailing for S CLASS, “We have delivered a next generation interior for a next generation Princess. Across the S72 you will see a completely new level of finish, with bespoke contemporary furniture and textured silk panelling mixing with polished steel and Macassar Ebony. Black, silver and white finishes lend a fresh modernity to the interior, whilst our strong British heritage is retained through classically toned leathers and herringbone linings.”

With the first S72 already in production, and the S80 is scheduled for launch in 2015, with two more S CLASS models planned.

If you get your thrills from watersports, opt for the Flight Series Package, which adds a new, forward-sweeping wakeboard tower, integrated Bimini top, a massive extended swim platform (also available as an stand-along option) and aggressive Flight Series graphics. Factor in updated interior styling including new upholstery patterns, and the sporty 175 has the look of a competition ski boat.

Some of the most innovative functional improvements to the 175 affect storage. Bayliner designers sculpted a new motor box, which features high-capacity cleats on the front and top that allow for larger gear from multi-rider tubes to bulky coolers to be tied down with bungee cords. Two cords come standard. The convenient tie-downs will keep unwieldy stuff secured while underway. The motor box also designed with a flat, recessed surface to double as a table. Additionally, designers added more effective sound insulation to the interior of the motor box, ensuring a quieter and more comfortable on-water experience.

The smart storage solutions continue with the portside dash s lockable glove box, perfect for keeping valuables secure, and a massive ski locker under the floor. And as part of the new standard storage system that includes the motor box tie-downs, Bayliner offers a side storage system with cleats mounted under both gunnels.

In addition to the Flight Series Package (offered for the first time on the 175), an optional Fishing Package is available on the 175, which includes an eight-gallon aerated livewell, 12V MotorGuide® bow-mount wireless trolling motor with quick-release mount, a Garmin Echo 150 fishfinder, a non-skid bow casting platform and pedestal seat, and hullside rod storage.
